School is out! I am so excited to have our precious boys home! I love school, school supplies, routine and everything that goes with it! However, I love summer break, no homework, no routine and everything that goes with it! Since I cannot seem to find the time or patience to upload pictures I thought I'd just say HI! I hope you are having a wonderful summer!

Our summer so far...

Our sweet Great Nieces came to visit for a few weeks, Emilya (3) and Charlie (2)
Music Camp and two amazing performance of the musical "Fish Tales" (jax & reed)
Vacation Bible School with friends (jax & reed)
Sports and Art Camp (jax, reed, ellis & emilya)
Swimming & Sewing Days with lifelong friends who are about to move to Chicago
First Birthday Party for our cousin Tripp on Saturday
Summer vacation to Colorado

There are times when I feel truly overwhelmed by God's blessing on my life. This is not to say that everything is perfect or that I have it all together. I am so very thankful that God is at work in the life of our family. Nothing about me will ever measure up, but because of God's grace I know that if I am willing, He will use me. Blog Title Change

We have changed the title of our blog. Life takes so many interesting turns and we are thankful for where God has us today. We are so thankful that He is sovereign and knows our every need. Our world, our home, our church, our family are all seeing many changes. We are so excited for the adventures to come and felt like this verse really captured it so much better than anything I could come up with.

Ellis is getting so BIG! He started preschool and is in the Tiger's class. He is so excited to go and loves his teachers Ms. Lisa (in picture) and Ms. Melissa.

Reed started taking Karate late this summer and is doing so well! He is part of the Little Dragons program and just got his first stripe! We are so proud of him!!

John Austin's Baptism

Praise the Lord! John Austin was baptized last night! He accepted Christ at camp this summer and made the obedience decision to be Baptized! We are so excited and so proud of him! Please be praying for him as he continues to grow in Christ!

Summer Fun with Friends

Our summer has been a blast so far! It all started with a visit from the Bridges family. We swam, snacked, played and started it all over again.

We also had the opportunity of participating in "Feed Our Kids" in Grapevine. We went and served lunch to children in an apartment complex who many days do not get to eat until their parents get home. The kids really enjoyed reaching out and putting others first. This has been our theme for the month of June.

Then we had Vacation Bible School - Outrigger Island at FBC Keller, Victory Sports and Art Camp at Southlake Christian, and Ellis' surgery all in one week. What a whirlwind!

The following week the Majors family came to visit us. More swimming, snacking and playing for everyone. It was a great time together!

This weekend John Austin celebrated his 8th birthday with a Scooby Doo swimming party. It was so much fun that Ellis' first question every morning since has been - Is it my birthday party today?

We love living in the DFW Metroplex. We get to enjoy all four seasons. Here is a picture of John Austin playing in the snow. His comment "I threw a snow ball at Mike's face." While I cannot imagine living in a place that has snow six or seven months of the year, I love that we get a couple of days of "play" snow and then it melts. And of course, we can always choose to go skiing!
